Rule number one in life: There are no rules. There are no metrics that say you have to spend 20 years to build an empire before you can claim success. If you understand energy, and time, you’ll know that the more action you take, the more work you do towards your specified goals, the more experience you have. This leads to more opportunities that naturally come to you. When it comes to getting shit done and the rewards that come with it, the most important things to pair like a fine wine are repetitions, hard work, and consistency.
Taylor Feamster, Co-Owner of the Strata Group, community leader, proud mother, and happy wife and business partner of Chris Feamster. She’s launching her podcast in the coming weeks focused on talking love and business featuring guests from all walks of life.
Tom and Taylor jump right into the episode talking about the beginning of her journey just 10 months ago into Apex. She shares how she took it hard when she realized she needed to replace herself, stripping her identity from the position, the team, and the company she built. Taylor shares how she didn’t truly realize the value of who she was in her marriage and as a business partner to her husband, Chris until he pointed it out. Tom shares some growing pains in marriage, business, and one moment when he looked up from his phone to see his wife with her face buried in her hands, in tears. Taylor talks about breaking through personal barriers our egos create and highlight why it’s the solution to being able to truly focus on continuing to pursue her passions. They have a candid discussion about parenting and how being stir crazy is a real thing when it comes to being a “stay at home” parent. Taylor shares a little about her podcast soon to be released in the coming weeks. She’s not even 30 and has managed to rip a hole in everything conventional from parenting, being married, being a business owner, and finding ones true path to becoming an elite leader in order to change more lives.

“When I decided to start transitioning out of my position that was really hard because I had attached so much of my identity and my value to my team and to the company I had built based on that position. So when I brought someone else in, I thought, “Damn, they don’t need me anymore.” And again, that ego came back up and then I started thinking, this is an amazing opportunity and I could think about what do I want to do next?”
